The Village of Cache Creek has developed a recovery plan to outline the immediate needs of the Village and its residents in response to the 2023 freshet flooding. We have conducted a damage assessment and obtained estimations for cost and time delivery, and we are working together with multiple stakeholders to action repair and recovery as efficiently as possible.

After a disaster, the provincial government may declare an event eligible for Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA). Once declared, the DFA program may provide applicants with financial assistance to restore uninsurable losses that are essential to your home, livelihood or community service.
This overland flooding event of April 27 - May 16, 2023, has been classified as eligible.
