Property Tax Exemption Application

 The Village of Cache Creek accepts applications for permissive property tax exemptions from eligible organizations in accordance with Council policy and applicable provincial legislation.

Applications must be complete and received by the annual deadline established. This changes from year to year, but is typically at the beginning of September. Late applications, incomplete submissions, or applications missing required financial documentation will not be considered.

All applications are reviewed by Council in accordance with the authority granted under the Community Charter.

Please note the following conditions apply to all permissive property tax exemptions:

• Council may request a presentation or additional information from an applicant.
• Property tax exemptions are granted for one (1) year only.
• Organizations must submit a new application annually, including their most recent financial information, property map area, and current contact details.
• The Village of Cache Creek reserves the right to review records or inspect buildings as necessary to verify information provided in the application.
• Council may, at its discretion, approve or deny any application in any given year.
• Organizations receiving an exemption may be requested to publicly acknowledge the exemption.
