Peoples Choice 2023 Voting is Open!
Read below for the rules of Peoples Choice!
We are conducting a Peoples Choice contest again for this years Adopt a Planter. We encourage you to take a moment to walk around the community to pick which planter speaks to you the most.
Your criteria for judging are your own! Scroll further down to see photos of all of the planters and use their numbers shown in the photos when you submit your vote.
New this year is a contest for voters! We are giving away two $25 gift cards to two lucky voters. The draw will occur after the award for Peoples Choice is selected and we will reach out directly to the winners.
For the two prizes, the winners must be able to pickup the gift card from the Village Office within 7 days of winning, otherwise we will draw a new name.
Information is collected solely for the purpose of administering this program, and to add you to our mailing list if you choose to opt in when voting. For more information on our Privacy Policy, click the Privacy Policy button at the bottom of this page.

Choose a planter from the list available at the office to fill with items of your choice; beautiful flowers, yummy vegetables, or both! We are planning for planting to start around May Long Weekend.

The theme changes every year. We do not demand that participants stick to the theme entirely, but incorporate it where they can! After that, whatever they like. We want to see your creativity!

We will have our irrigation setup in each planter and top them up with some fresh soil before you get started. Then you can complete your planting! Make sure to take a photo when you are done.

With your photo of freshly planted beauty in hand, come to the office and fill out our form. If you complete this step, we will send you a gift card in the mail for one of the three retailers in the area (Horstings, Home Hardware, or Desert Hills)

As part of this program we are asking volunteers to prune, weed, and maintain their planters throughout the season. We are planning to install a nameplate with each volunteer or groups name on the planter so people know who is making the town a better place!

In August or September judge and host a wrap up event for the planters where we have a panel of out of judges pick the best planters in each category!

A big part of this is letting us know a few planters you are interested in. We are going to be allowcating them on a first come basis, so the sooner you express interest the better!
